Yellow Wallpaper
Directing, Playwriting & Puppetry
World Premiere
Labapalooza Puppet Lab, St. Ann’s Warehouse
Adapted from Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s “The Yellow Wallpaper,” this play tells the story of a woman’s descent into madness while confined under the guise of medical care. Performed with puppets built in the delicate, two-dimensional style of paper dolls, the piece blurs reality and imagination as the wallpaper itself becomes both prison and obsession.
