We want everyone who attends SisterPlay to have the information they need to make the choice that is right for them.

SisterPlay is inspired by true events and explores themes of family, grief, addiction, mental health, and the impact of incarceration. Throughout the performance, audiences may encounter references to:

• Addiction and substance use

• Mental health challenges

• Childhood sexual abuse

• Intimate partner violence

• Incarceration and the criminal legal system

• Death in custody

• Grief and loss

• Suicidal ideation

• Gun violence, including references to a shooting

Some moments may be emotionally intense. While the production does not rely on graphic violence or sensationalized portrayals, these subjects are central to the story and may be difficult for some audience members.
